Jay Hawley 1867-1941
Jay C. Hawley is the son of Martin and Adelaide Hawley. He was born in
Lawton, Michigan in 1867 and died April 28, 1941 at the age of 74 in Garnett, Kansas.
He moved to Garnett, Kansas with his parents in boyhood and lived in the vicinity the rest of his life.
He married Achsa Fonger in Garnett in 1895. Both Jay and his wife died in a car accident.

Achsa Fonger 1867-1941
Wife of JayAchsa Fonger was born in Anderson County Kansas June 24, 1876 and passed away April 30, 1931 in a fatal car accident with her husband. She and her sister were both married to their spouses in the same wedding ceremony in 1895. SOURCE: Obituary
