The Children

Eugene and May Augusta had four children. One died in infancy, and the other three surviving children were Faye, Esther and Francis. When Francis was 18 and to graduate from the local high school, he drowned in Cedar Creek (the day he was to graduate). NOTE: Both Faye and Esther lived to old age, and I was able to meet with Esther on a trip to Garnett, Kansas. She told me how her parents never recovered from the loss of Francis
