Calvin B. Hawley
Calvin Bateman Hawley was born in Clarendon, Orleans County, New York December 24, 1827. He married Sarah Glidden in the fall of 1849 in Clarendon and they moved to Comstock, Kalamazoo County, Michigan with the rest of the family around 1855. They lived in Comstock about 21 years, then moved to Portage where he died by committing suicide November 12, 1901. His parents were John Hawley (I) and Betsey Malbone Hawley. His brothers were John Hawley (II) and Chester Hawley.
